Jazz ‘n’ Chat “Jowee, the giver”

A meeting hosted by Pierre Mourdie

A talented multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, teacher… Jowee Omicii is a true oddball on today’s music scene. In parallel to his studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music and a career marked by the success of his first three albums as a lead, he has collaborated and played with the best musicians of his time (Marcus Miller, Kenny Garrett, Roy Hargrove, Richard Bona…) His multicultural background (Haiti-Quebec-USA), his many journeys and encounters have colored his music with all of the world’s shades, without ever denying the primordial groove he learned in the gospel orchestra that his father formed.

Very attached to the idea of transmission, Jowee Omicii immediately accepted to meet the public of the festival for this session of Jazz & Bavardages. An ideal introduction to the concert he will give the following day to give us a taste of his new album”Let’s Bash!”
