Jazz ‘n’ Chat “Linda Lee Hopkins, from Ray Charles to Al Jarreau and gospel”

A meeting hosted by Pierre Mourdie

A session of Jazz & Bavardages as a return to jazz roots, that’s what the festival is inviting you to for this meeting with Linda Lee Hopkins, as a prologue to the grand gospel concert she will be giving the following night in the exceptional venue that is the Saint-Sulpice Church.

The American singer has been living in Paris for over twenty years and she has had an international career rich in musical encounters, from Ray Charles to Gloria Gaynor, not to mention Percy Sledge and Al Jarreau. She opened for Prince in front of more than 17,000 fans, released record in her own name, appeared on a multitude of tracks and performed on stage with the biggest banes in gospel music.

There is no doubt that, when she meets with the festival-goers, Linda Lee Hopkins will have many a story to tell…
