KYLE EASTWOOD QUINTET « CINEMATIC »
feat. CAMILLE BERTAULT, HUGH COLTMAN
& EXCEPTIONAL GUEST: IBRAHIM MAALOUF

Talented bass and double bass player Kyle Eastwood caught the jazz bug from his father. Since his debut back in 1998 and through a career spanning ten albums and a few more scores for movies directed by Clint Eastwood (Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby or Letters From Iwo Jima), Kyle Eastwood has cemented his reputation as a jazz frontman with a melodic, elegant and swinging hard bop infused jazz style.

« Cinematic », his latest release, is dedicated to his second love: cinema and the music and scores by illustrious composers that he was influenced by: from Taxi Driver to Skyfall, or the Thomas Crown Affair.

Exclusive! Kyle Eastwood closes his tour after two years spent travelling across Europe with a final show for this festival. Every final live concert is the opportunity to relive the history of the latest project and the harbinger of many more surprises.

Kyle Eastwood called upon a few prestigious guests to play alongside his quintet: the fiery Camille Bertault for an uplifting version of Michel Legrand’s cult hymn “Moulins de mon Coeur”, the moving British singer Hugh Coltman covering the sentimental theme of Gran Torino, as well as trumpet player Ibrahim Maalouf.

Cultivating his special relationship with Paris, Kyle Eastwood returns to a city he once called home to play at the mythical Théâtre de L’Odéon. An exceptional opportunity for all jazz and cinema lovers to enjoy the final performance of this latest instalment of his repertoire.

Kyle Eastwood: doublebass / Andrew Mc Cormack: piano / Quentin Collins: trumpet / Brandon Allen: saxophone / Chris Higginbottom: drums
Featuring: Camille Bertault: vocals/ Hugh Coltman: vocals
& Exceptional guest: Ibrahim Maalouf (trumpet)
