FIRST PART: ADÈLE VIRET QUARTET
EVENT CONCERT
A SUSPENDED MOMENT CARRIED BY GRACE, LOVE, AND PEACE
Three exceptional musicians. Three unique artistic journeys. A vibrant and deeply inspired trio: L’Antidote.
Imagine three powerful rivers leaving their traditional course to join together in an immense mass of musical water, free and experimental.
Redi Hasa, from Albania, is an inspired cellist whose bow resonates with a thousand worlds. He recently contributed to the soundtrack of Céline Dion’s Oscar-nominated documentary.
Rami Khalifé, from Lebanon, is a virtuoso classical pianist whose personal universe navigates between Rachmaninov, Sufi mysticism, and electro-dance.
Bijan Chemirani, from Iran, is the heir to a dynasty of Persian percussionists. He masters the zarb as if he had invented it three thousand years ago. He has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, including Jean-Marc Padovani, Juan Carmona, and Sting.
Together, they form L’Antidote, a trio that fuses contemporary jazz, Mediterranean influences, and world music, creating a rich and evocative soundscape. Improvisation and musical narration intertwine, sculpting deep and immersive atmospheres. No one can predict what will emerge from this creative whirlwind. But as the storm rages over our fragile Earth, it is reassuring to know that these great musicians are working on an antidote, which is also the title of their first album.
This show, designed to resonate with the intimate Alliance Française Theater, which welcomes cultures from around the world, will take you on a journey without borders.
