INEDIT CONCERT
With forty albums acclaimed by the press and crowned with the highest awards (Victoires de la Musique, BBC Palme d’Or, Diapasons d’Or of the Year, Chocs du Monde de la musique, more than 10 international first prizes, etc.), cellist François Salque is now a leading figure, which has led him to play with the greatest musicians in more than 70 countries.
As for Samuel Strouk, guitarist, composer, and conductor, his versatility has led him to collaborate with the greatest European orchestras.
Fascinated by the freedom and sonic flavors afforded by this unique formation, always supported by Jérémie Arranger‘s precise and warm double bass, these two creators transform each of their encounters into a unique and jubilant moment!
True to its spirit of openness, Loco Cello regularly invites leading artists to perform on stage.
For this exceptional concert, Loco Cello welcomes trumpeter Stéphane Belmondo, a major figure in French and European jazz. A soloist with an instantly recognizable sound, Stéphane Belmondo has established himself over the decades as one of the most inspired trumpeters of his generation. A demanding composer and improviser of rare elegance, he has collaborated with the greatest artists—from Michel Legrand to Yusef Lateef, Dee Dee Bridgewater to Stefano di Battista—and led projects acclaimed for their musical depth and aesthetic audacity.
Brought together especially for the festival, this unique quartet combines influences ranging from modern jazz and gypsy jazz to classical and popular music, promising a rare evening in the remarkable setting of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés church.
