Le Son de la Terre

AFTER JAZZ CLUB CLOSING NIGHT

A GLOWING JOURNEY THROUGH THE LEGENDS OF JAZZ FUNK, CARRIED BY A VIRTUOSO FLUTE

A key figure on the French jazz scene for over fifteen years, Ludivine Issambourg has established herself as one of the most creative flutists, composers, and producers of her generation. Her talent has led her to collaborate with many major artists such as Wax Tailor, Éric Legnini, Chassol, Nils Landgren, and Angélique Kidjo.

In her latest album « Above the Laws », she delivers original compositions imbued with the 70s jazz funk tradition of the CTI label (the famous New York jazz label), while incorporating a few carefully chosen covers. The album reflects her many influences, from Gil Scott-Heron to major flutists such as Hubert Laws, Jeremy Steig, and Bobbi Humphrey.

Surrounded by top-flight musicians, Ludivine Issambourg delivers powerful and elegant music, where the flute dialogues with generous and energetic rhythms. Heir to Acid Jazz and the new London and American scenes, Ludivine Issambourg brings together jazz and urban cultures in a fusion where groove is the watchword.
At the occasion, she invites French saxophonist Céline Bonacina (Finalist of Jazz Awards 2024).

In the picturesque setting of the Le Son de la Terre barge on the Seine, with views of Notre-Dame de Paris, this after-jazz event promises a vibrant evening where jazz, electro, and funk will take center stage.

Artists from Paris and around the world, welcome to the second set for a wild jam session!
