A STRIKING DUO, A NUGGET OF SENSITIVITY AND ELEGANCE

Over the past twenty years, pianist Pierre-François Blanchard – who has worked with the likes of Pierre Barouh, Archie Shepp and Marion Rampal – has explored a landscape that has taken him from classical to jazz, from composing for the theater to song.
Released in 2024 and hailed by the press as a true masterpiece, “#puzzled” is the pianist’s first album under his own name, with clarinettist Thomas Savy as his brother-in-arms and brother-in-soul.
Pierre-François Blanchard, like a wanderer who strolls between worlds to better connect them, delivers with this opus a diary of wordless songs, and an invitation to discover a subtle and refined sound universe, between jazz and early 20th-century French music.

Immerse yourself in this intimate yet audacious program, in the magnificent Salle des fêtes at the Mairie du 6e, where the encounter between clarinet and piano gives rise to soundscapes both strange and familiar, on the border between improvisation and composition. A true delight!
