A TIMELESS VOCAL AND INSTRUMENTAL ODYSSEY

CONCERT CREATION

ARIA is a word deeply linked to exaltation, voice, and melody. It is also the name of the new project by trombonist and composer Robinson Khoury, a major figure on the new French jazz scene, winner of the 2025 Django Reinhardt Prize, and nominated for the 2025 Victoires du Jazz awards.

Inspired by Renaissance vocal music, Baroque airs, classical Arabic music, as well as folk songs and contemporary pop, ARIA displays a boundless lyricism that is the musician’s constant signature.

The project weaves a subtle dialogue between acoustic and electronic sounds, notably through the use of synthesizers, which open up an almost infinite soundscape that the trombonist has been exploring since 2023 with his trio MŸA.

Robinson Khoury brings together vocals, a string trio, trombones, modular synthesizers, saxophones, flutes, and percussion to create sensitive, moving, and deeply organic music.

Created during a residency at Jazz sous les Pommiers, ARIA is being presented for the first time in Paris, in the remarkable setting of the courtyard of the Monnaie de Paris. A vibrant and timeless evening.

From 7pm: enjoy a food truck on site, then from 7:30pm to 8:15pm in the courtyard of La Méridienne, a pre-concert performance by Arthur Élin & Lou Guénet (free for concertgoers with tickets to the Robinson Khoury concert).
