UNIQUE PIANO SOLO CONCERT

SHANI DILUKA

A sacred moment with an extraordinary pianist

An exceptional concert artist, multi-awarded pianist Shani Diluka is considered one of the greatest of her generation. A regular guest of eminent orchestras and conductors, and the recipient of prestigious collaborations (Natalie Dessay, Michel Portal, Wolfgang Rihm, Karol Beffa…), she also leads a solo career throughout the world.

After the album “Cosmos”, which received international critical acclaim and numerous awards, Shani Diluka recently released “Pulse”, a beautiful opus that pays tribute to the hypnotic music of the great American minimalists: John Adams, Philipp Glass, John Cage, Moondog… in resonance with the pulsation of the world, the quivering of rivers, the breathing of trees and the metronome of cities. A highly personal way for the pianist to connect with the invisible, spiritual dimension of the world. The album also features two Daft Punk covers, including the captivating “Veridis Quo” arranged by Shani Diluka, as well as Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans, Meredith Monk and Craig Armstrong.

For the occasion, as this will be the first time she has played in the emblematic Saint-Germain-des-Prés church, the pianist has imagined a special repertoire for this one-off performance, between her album “Pulse” and works by J.S. Bach, whose polyphonic writing echoes the limpidity of hypnotic melodies.
Let yourself be transported for a single evening on a dreamlike journey “between mantras and contemplation”, in the heart of the America of minimalist composers, jazz and electro.
The promise of a moment of ecstasy!
